Green Computing Pledge

I pledge to practice Green Computing by:

Using technology to support a paperless environment. For example, emailing work instead of printing.
Powering off or placing my computer into a sleep mode when I am not using it.
Enabling power settings that automatically turn off my display when the computer is idle. (Learn how here.)
Thinking twice before printing anything, particularly something from the Web.
Reducing my paper use by printing and copying double sided.

Using rechargeable batteries instead of disposable batteries.
Properly recycling electronic devices instead of throwing them in the trash.
Making copies on copy machines and not on our printers.

By practicing green computing practices, I am helping the Academy of the Sacred Heart reduce its environmental footprint.
