Vision Statement for the Mobile Technology Program

Our goal as educators at the Academy of the Sacred Heart is to prepare our students to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world, while remaining committed to the goals and criteria of Sacred Heart Education. We believe that our community will benefit from the ability to access educational resources at all times and in all places. Among the benefits are enhanced opportunities for research, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and productivity—necessities in today’s world. In the educational setting, we also see the benefits of project-based learning, individualized instruction, and opportunities to address social and ethical issues. Our vision is to provide students, at the developmentally appropriate time, with different forms of wireless, networked technologies to expand and deepen their educational experience.
